Paolo Fiore was born in Altamura, Puglia. He attended the artistic high school in Matera and later completed his studies at a vocational institute. At the age of eighteen, he left his homeland to move to Milan, where he worked for about twenty years in the fashion industry, an environment defined by aesthetics and a constantly evolving vision.

Over time, Paolo felt the need for a more authentic, physical, and personal form of expression. It is from this need that his path into material art took shape, a language he feels deeply connected to. In an age where everything is fast and immaterial, tangible things give him a sense of stability. Materials carry with them a history: a rough canvas, a wooden board, a reclaimed object, each tells a story before it is even painted. He is fascinated by how materials react, combine, and change over time. This process feels to him almost primal, almost alchemical. It is a call to deep and personal sensory memories.
